I spent my undergrad on the pre-med track, before waking up to the unlimited creative freedom of the tech space. I broke in through customer facing roles (project management) and found my way into the Shangri-La of UX through Google’s Professional UX Certificate.My well rounded analytical background + front-lines experience in B2B support has proved to be a big leg up.

There's a host of reasons, but the biggest one is that you'll burn all your money on developers reworking everything they build otherwise. According to studies, engineers spend half their time on average doing this, and it costs your business literally 100x more than if a designer helps them nail it on the first try.
